Autobiography

Hello all! My name is Jaime Rivera. This is my second semester back at the JC after taking 4 years off from school. I am looking forward to further my education in order to obtain my Bachelors in Business Management. Besides going to school, I am also working full time as a Member Service Rep at Redwood Credit Union, so for those who have any questions at all about obtaining a loan, opening an account, or just need some type of financial guidance, please do not hesitate to contact me at jrivera@redwoodcu.org.

I would say that I am visual learner. I do find it difficult for me to understand complex situations without having some kind of visual in order for me to have a better understanding. Other than that, I would say that I am a quick learner and can grasp on to new information as long as I have complete understanding. When it comes to my work, I would have to say that I am a procrastinator, but most of my work comes out the best when I complete it the night before it is due or even a few hours before it is due.

I hope that we all have a great semester and I am looking forward to working with all of you.

  1. Hi Jaime! How are you?! I'm glad you are in my class. I will definitely be contacting you if I need help. I'm not surprised that you are back into school. You are always reaching for higher goals, consistently striving for better whether that be at work or in school. I'm going to have to take you up on the offer of some financial guidance some time. I'm always interested in advice that will turn my fifty cents into a dollar! Take care. I will talk to you soon!

  2. Hi Jaime,
I learn the same way as you, through visuals. I usually have to close my eyes and get a visual if there's nothing else available! And procrastination is my middle name! Taking online classes will be a great challenge for me, and I'm really pushing myself to succeed with better studying habits. Some days I find myself purposely looking for other things to do than schoolwork. Mow the lawn? I'll get right on it! Clean the rain gutters? No problem! Study homework? um....doesn't the cat need a bath?
I look forward to working with you in this class, and good luck with your future.

  3. Hi Jaime,

I used to be a huge procrastinator in high school. I just couldn't bring myself to start anything until the night before. Once I started working, and then packing on the responsibility, I just got tired of the stress I'd feel all week knowing I had an assignment or two due later in the week. I guess it comes down to personality...

Looking forward to working with you this semester!

    Take care,
    Lauren

  4. Hi Jamie,

Throughout my senior year in high school, I was a HUGE procastinator to. I would always say ill do a little today and some more tomorrow but I wouldn't even do it. When the due date came I wouldn't even have half the work done but I always managed to do better under pressure. Weird huh?
I hope you succeed and get your business management degree.

I hope we get to work together throughout this semester. Talk to you soon!

  5. Jaime,

I find it extremely amusing that you used this assignment to try an win over some new customers. I don't mean this in an offensive manner, I actually think that it shows a certain kind of commitment as far as work goes. You must seize every opportunity to try to become more and more successful! Unless that means forgetting the most important things in life, like family and friends.

    Take care!

  6. Hi Jamie,

It is great that you added in some marketing to your first blog. I was thinking of doing the same thing with my martial arts job. As for Redwood Credit Union I already have a account with them and can say I really do enjoy their services.
I will admit that I am a procrastinator too. When in comes to school work most of the time it's last day, but when it comes to my job I am much better.

    Best of luck!
    Haruki
